Dr Mark Hinman grew up in Longmont and attended Longmont High School . After receiving a BA in Biology and Chemistry from Bethany College in Lindsborg, Kansas, he graduated from the University of Kansas School of Medicine in 1986. Family practice residency training was completed in 1989 at the USAF Medical Center Scott, Scott AFB, IL. Dr. Hinman practiced 4 years with the Air Force at Ramstein 316th Air Base Clinic in Ramstein, Germany to complete the obligation for his military scholarship through medical school. In 1993, He joined his father’s practice in Longmont, Colorado and has continued to practice since his father’s retirement in 1997. His practice is recognized as a Patient Centered Medical Home. Dr. Hinman has actively participated in payer initiative programs including Comprehensive Primary Care Classic, Comprehensive Primary Care Plus, and Primary Care First, as well as Accountable Care Organizations including the Boulder Valley Care Network.
